Conventional techniques of ACL reconstruction surgery and the principles that guide the rehabilitation are emerging as alternatives that provide a safe and early recovery. The advent of the use of the contralateral patellar tendon graft, have proven very effective. Then the objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical condition of the knees of patients undergoing this procedure at discharge and compare with the findings described in the literature for other surgical techniques. Participants were 23 individuals of both genders, practicing sports in recreational level. To mount the protocols were used Questionnaire Lysholm (QL), the Single Leg Hop Test (SLHT) and Knee Isokinetic Evaluation (JIA). The mean score found in QL was 93.30, with excellent class stood out among the others. The average difference found between the donor and recipient members in SLHT was only 2.06 cm. The patients had a favorable outcome to treatment, which can be determined by symmetry and score obtained in the tests. Other surgical techniques for ACL reconstruction, were not found similar levels of symmetry between members within the same recovery time. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
