Abstract

Vibro-dynamics simulation of faulty gears and rolling element bearings allows the analyst to study the effect of damaged components in controlled manners and gather the data without bearing the cost of actual failures or the expenses associated with an experiment that requires a large number of seeded fault specimens. The fault simulation can be used to provide the data required in training Neural network based diagnostic/prognostic processes.
