Abstract

The article discusses the impact of service-learning (SL) on a managerial accounting course through the professional, personal, and technical development of students. It proposes the use of SL methodology for the development of the relationship and communication skills of accounting students and for boost of their affiliation and awareness on professional practice and community service. It describes how SL projects address the competencies of some graduates.
