Abstract

We report the cloning and sequencing of a Trichoderma reesei genomic DNA clone that encodes a protein similar to the Aspergillus CREA, a carbon catabolite repressor. The deduced amino acid sequence predicts a zinc finger protein of 402 amino acids in length. The overall amino acid sequence of the T. reesei CREA shows about 52% similarity with Aspergillus CREAs. © 1996, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
