Abstract

We review the possibility of testing string theory through cosmology. In particular we describe recent efforts to show how macroscopic fundamental strings may be found through their distinctive signatures arising fromthe production of gravitational waves, their approach to scaling networks and the new types of macroscopic meta-stable strings that can form.
