Abstract

Magnesium is an essential mineral necessary for optimal cellular health and well-being. Many adults in the United States fail to get recommended amounts of magnesium from their diets. Even so, symptoms of magnesium deficiency are rarely seen; however, maintaining normal body stores could be preventative against common diseases. © 2011, SAGE Publications. All rights reserved.
