Abstract

The nematode-borne viruses (NEPO) have wide host range including also small fruits. The isolation of nematodes from Longidorus and Xiphinema genus in the regions with climatic conditions favourable to the growth of small fruits crops necessitates more serious studies of the viruses of this group. The isolation, identification and production of antiserum from these viruses will make possible the application of the rapid and sensitive serology and electron microscopic methods for virus diagnostics. This will provide a higher quality control of the planting material produced. © 1993 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
