Abstract

For the medium-high permeability and easy sand production reservoir of loose sandstone, after long-term sand production, the form of near-well sand production deficit of horizontal wells has changed, and the existing technology is difficult to achieve fine characterization, which restricts the implementation of subsequent sand control and stimulation technology. Production practice shows that the critical pressure difference of reservoir sand production decreases with the increase of water saturation and water content, which should be considered in the construction of sand production performance prediction model. In order to consider the influence of different reservoir rock types’ ability to resist external load damage on oil well sand production and erosion, formation water content factor, lithology factor and sand migration factor are introduced to affect oil well sand production. A prediction method of relative sand production deficit profile in horizontal section of horizontal well in winter is proposed. Firstly, the distribution of reservoir rock mechanical parameters along the horizontal section of horizontal well is calculated, and then the distribution of critical production pressure difference of sand production in horizontal section of horizontal well is predicted. Through correction, the actual bottom hole flow pressure and actual production pressure difference at each point of horizontal section are calculated, the flow pressure at bottom heel end is calibrated, the net pressure difference of sand is calculate and made dimensionless, and then the sand strength index is calculated. The sand production gap has obvious heterogeneity whether in multiple layers or in single layer, which depends on the respective production fluid strength and geological cementing strength of each layer. Considering the prediction of sand production patterns of oil and gas reservoirs under more complex conditions, the realization of prediction based on long-period sand production deficit patterns can provide a direct basis for sand control, especially for the optimization design of gravel packing sand control. This achievement realizes the rapid prediction of sand production deficit shape near the well under the given production cycle and production conditions, and provides a key basis for subsequent sand control optimization.
