Abstract

Neopeace F101^[○!R], Neopeace^[○!R], Polypol^[○!R] were evaluated for trapping flies at a garbage dumping ground in Malaysia. Neopeace F101^[○!R] was a more effective adhesive than Neopeace^[○!R], and Neopeace^[○!R] was more effective than Polypol^[○!R] in that order in trapping Chrysomya megacephala, Lucilia cuprina and Musca domestica. The adhesives evaluated had no or little repellent effect against the flies in the dumping ground. Thus, Neopeace F101^[○!R] could be utilised in fly control programmes.
