Abstract
Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the etiologic agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Roche COBAS® AmpliPrep/COBAS TaqMan® HIV-1 Test involves automated reverse transcription, PCR amplification, and detection of HIV-1 target RNA from peripheral blood specimens. The dynamic range of the assay is 48-10,000,000 copies/mL.
