Abstract

The original event service of the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) suffers from several weaknesses. Among others, it has poor scalability. Previously, we have proposed a framework, called SCARCE, which extends the event service to tackle the problem in a transparent manner. Scalability is improved through an agent-based load balancing algorithm. In this paper, we propose two new features to the algorithm that can further enhance its stability and performance.
