Abstract

This paper introduces cut sets of fuzzy concepts and fuzzy roles as atomic concepts and atomic roles to build extended fuzzy script A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ (ℰℱscript A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ), a new fuzzy extension of script A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ. It talks about two reasoning methods for ℰℱscript A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ. The first one presents a sound and complete algorithm for ℰℱscript A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ reasoning tasks and proves the complexity is PSPACE-complete. The second one reduces ℰℱscript A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ into script A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ, which can be performed in polynomial time and keep the semantic consistency, and then uses script A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ reasoning method to solve ℰℱscript A sign ℒ script C sign ℋ reasoning tasks. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
