Abstract

This article describes what Nottingham Trent University has to offer the textile and colouration industries. The department of fashion and textiles is in the Faculty of Art and Design which houses some 2500 students, with the department itself housing about 750 undergraduate students. The courses are primarily design-oriented rather than technological and include BA courses in textile design, knitwear design, fashion design, decorative arts and clothing studies with textiles.
