Abstract

This paper discusses the state of the truck-cover market. In particular, it examines what is new in the segment, including; roll-over systems; side kits, which raise the sides of a truck for added capacity; and curtain sides for graphics and side loading. In addition the paper considers; prospective load-covering regulations; the search for lighter weight materials; the rise in the use of curtain-sided truck trailers in the European transport market; and the impact of increasing foreign competition.
