New mineral names

Abstract

Data is abstracted for the following new minerals approved by the Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names (CNMMN) of the International Mineralogical Association (IMA): Alluaivite, Belkovite, Bogvadite, Calcio-ancylite (Nd), Grechischevite, Lintisite, Pengzhizhongite-6H, Rorisite, Szymanskiite, Yingjiangite, Zanaziite and Znucalite. Data is also abstracted for a Calcian mottramite and Magnesium zinnwaldite, both of which require additional information for submission to the CNMMN. Results for several, as yet unidentified phases belonging to the Platinum group minerals, a lead sulfate oxychloride and several Se-bearing minerals are also summarised. Finally new data for: Berborite polytypes, Dewindtite, Lazurite, Hogbomite-24R, Hotsonite, Perlialite, Phosphuranylite and Vinogradorite are abstracted. -P.Dennis
