Abstract

The article discusses a study which determines the prevalence of microalbuminuria, proteinuria and associated factors among HIV-infected children in Tanzania. The study examines the urine of 240 HIV infected children and determines the presence of microalbuminuria and proteinuria using dipstick and Microalbumin 2-1 combo test strips. It also reveals that 20.4 percent of children had microalbuminuria and 7.1 percent had proteinuria.
