Abstract

Respiratory protection with maintenance free respirator and regular biological monitoring with the measurement of zinc protoporphyrin for one year period not only made significant decreases of biological indices indicative of lead exposure (blood lead, delta-aminolevulinic acid in urine) in a storage battery workers, but also reduced the prevalence of lead related symptoms. © 1993 Springer-Verlag.
