Abstract

Social distancing is vitally important during this pandemic. Maintaining social distance helps to stop the spread of the coronavirus. To check whether the people are maintaining the social distance a police officer is positioned in every public place, due to this the police officers can also get infected. To guarantee social distancing in public spaces, we can use a social distance checking bot. The robot is a 4-wheel design vehicle that makes use of Wi-Fi. The robot uses an Ultrasonic sensor to travel in public places for identifying violations. The robot is fitted with an ultrasonic sensor which is used to detect obstacles in the vehicle path. This property of the ultrasonic sensor is used to find the distance between 2 persons and if this distance is less than the threshold value then an alert is sent to the higher authorities using the Wi-Fi which contains the picture of the violation which is captured by the camera and is sent through the E-Mail and this picture can be used as a proof to take disciplinary action.
