Each training program may need to develop several plans for installing targeted instruction on drugs, drug selection, side effects, withdrawal, and pharmacodynamics, as well as discussing drugs used in addressing certain diseases, circadian rhythm, behavioral therapy, epidemiology, etc. Furthermore, as sleep medicine practitioners manage both adults and children, some understanding is needed as to how pharmacology is presented, evaluated, and approved for both populations.
