Abstract

This chapter focuses on the negative impact that premature ejaculation (PE) has on the single man trying to establish relationships, on the man in a committed relationship and the impact upon the partners. Depending on whether the effected person is the partner, a single man or a man in a committed relationship the manner in which PE affects them is different. These unique pathways are discussed from the perspective of each of the effected people. Awareness of these negative impacts can help a clinician to offer specific treatments targeted at the relationship issues while addressing the issues of ejaculatory latency and control.
