Abstract

The aims of this study are reconstructing audio signal from fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) data measured primary auditory cortex of human and developing brain machine interface. In order to develop a sound decoding system from brain activity, it is necessary to distinguish brain activities which respond to several frequencies of stimuli. In this paper, it is shown that the brain activities have significant differences which respond to semitone-difference stimuli with 3-mm spatial resolution of fMRI. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
