Abstract

Prior to scalp fixation in endoscopic browlifting, elevation is accomplished by periosteal release at the superior orbital rims and glabella followed by superior stretching at the orbital rim. For some patients, substantial elevation of the medial portion of the brow may be aesthetically undesirable or undesired. Fixation of the released and elevated forehead flap is thought to be primarily accomplished by re-adherence of the periosteal flap to the frontal bone. To ensure that it re-adheres at the proper height, intraoperative fixation can be accomplished using several techniques.
