Method of construct high performance StaaS infrastructure base on dynamic request data supporting cloud computing

Abstract

Cloud computing is one of the hottest topics in industry. High performance storage infrastructure is the basic, key component to support this, and it is also catch lots of attention from research to application. This paper mainly introduces a method to build up a novel Storage infrastructure to support Cloud Computing, the method named as IStaaSM (Intelligent Storage as a service with mixed products). IStaaSM grants storage infrastructure with self performance improvement ability in the environment with mixed storage products. This method analyzes regular pattern of user operations, identify hot data and migrate hot data to the storage product which has better performance to improve entire performance of storage infrastructure. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.
