Abstract

Despite of all the efforts devoted to eGovernment solutions, a number of flaws can be identified in current approaches. Projects in the domain usually fail at addressing the citizen in the actual channels the citizen, the final user, is actually operating. This feature is required to engage the citizen in eGovernment services. The goal of this paper is to provide a solution that can delivery operations/interactions with the citizen in his/her preferred channels. This involves an effort on modeling a solid back office support and on developing proper interfaces for the number of possible environments. The paper addresses this situation and suggests both an modeling tool and a design for the supporting architecture. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
