Abstract

Ligament injuries are among the most common indications for knee surgery. Knowledge of the various procedures used to treat these injuries is critical for accurate postoperative image interpretation. This chapter first describes the surgical repair or reconstruction techniques for torn cruciate, medial, and lateral ligament tears. Following a brief review of postsurgical imaging techniques, the expected image findings following surgery are presented. Finally, the imaging appearances of the most commonly encountered complications are reviewed.
