Abstract

The Upper Jurasic buildups dominated by siliceous sponges and microbialites are widely known from the Tethyan realm and North Atlantic (Trammer 1989; Gaillard 1983; Matyszkiewicz 1989; Pomoni-Papaioannou et al. 1989; Brachert 1991; Lang 1991; Leinfelder et al. 1993, 1994; Reitner and Neuweiler 1995; Olóriz et al. 2003; Olivier et al. 2004). © 2011 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
