Morphing wing can change its shape to improve the aerodynamic characteristics. In this paper the concept of multiple-hinges’ type spectrum is presented. A new type synthesis method for planar kinematic chains is developed. Focus on 7-bar mechanisms the type synthesis is carried out. Based on the results, the trailing edge design scheme is setup. The mathematical model and the kinematic simulation with ADAMS are followed up. The aerodynamic modeling and aerodynamic simulations are carried out to verify the aerodynamic characteristics of the presented morphing wing mechanism.
