Abstract
The article examines the rule of lean management system in engineering design and construction. Topics discussed include lean as being centered on creating more value to customers with fewer resources as well as the processes of lean engineering design and lean engineering design giving opportunities for controlling the overall project cost and improving quality and cycle time. Also mentioned are typical lean opportunities, such as combining discipline deliverables and reducing supervision.
