Abstract

The paper presents the results of research focused on the attitudes of 8 to 13-year elementary school pupils to physical and sport education. The research group consisted of 438 elementary school pupils from Bratislava. As a basic research tool a standardized attitudinal questionnaire for primary school pupils was used. We determined that in primary school pupils there predominate positive attitudes towards physical and sport education over indifferent attitudes. It has been shown that attitudes of pupils to physical and sport education are differentiated in terms of age in terms of level of sport but are not differentiated from the point of view of gender.
