Abstract

The production of vegetables in greenhouse is becoming an option to guarantee the increase in productivity. The inadequate irrigation management, the addition of fertilizers in high doses and the inexistence of precipitation to promote leaching excess of applied salts in irrigation water, can bring as consequence the soil salinization, harming the of revenue of the sensitive crops. The experiment was conducted in two stages, being the first the construction of a salinization curve, in order to aid in the second stage that was constituted of application of six levels of initial salinity to the soil and two types of fertigation management in area of the Department of Rural Engineering of ESALQ/USP, with the objective of evaluating the salinity evolution through the management of the fertigation on the variables height of plant , dry matter of the fruits and fruit production. It was observed that the increase of the salinity reduced the weight of fruits and the height of the plant in the initial phase of development of the crop and that the variable dry matter of the fruit was not influenced by the studied factors.
