Abstract

Arabic language course is one of the compulsory subjects at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. However, not all students come from Islamic-based schools, so Arabic language courses can be one of the courses that can cause academic anxiety. The Faculty of Psychology is one of the general-based faculties at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, as a general-based faculty, some students do not come from religious-based schools. According to the initial study conducted, about 60% of the 50 subjects who were psychology students felt anxious about Arabic language courses. The subjects of this study were 255 students. This research uses quantitative methods. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of self-efficacy on anxiety in learning Arabic courses with academic help seeking as a moderating variable. The results of the PLS moderation test show that the academic help seeking variable can be a moderator variable of the influence of self-efficacy on anxiety in learning Arabic courses with a significance value of 0.018.
