Abstract

The first three Czechoslovak cases of Kawasaki disease were reported. The first and second occurred in the literature (25, 21), the third was studied by clinique and pathology. A sort of Coxsackie virus was isolated from blood and faces samples in the third case ante mortem as well as post mortem. Coxsackie virus in fatal Kawasaki disease had not been reported yet. Probably, there are different infectious agents that may cause Kawasaki disease in immunodeficient patients.
