Abstract

High speed electronic equipment causes EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) which effects nearby equipment. So, study on EMI is very essential in order to avoid the interference on electronic equipment. Shields are used for preventing EMI. Conductive composites are better alternative for metallic shields due to its properties. The properties of conductive composites depend upon the Nano filler and polymer used. In this work Carbon Nano fiber based epoxy Nano composites is used for shielding application, Carbon Nano fiber based epoxy Nano composites is prepared and variation in properties such as AC conductivity, permittivity and permeability with frequency is studied. Shielding Effectiveness (SE) of the sample is estimated using COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS to be -38dB.
