Abstract

Aim and Objective: The research work will be used to provide the personal ballistic protection, multi-layered armour systems (MAS) made of comparatively light weighted materials without sacrificing quality and in armour vests. Material Used: Natural fibre composites are taken as composites made of jute fibre and coir fibre. Methodology: The sample was made by 20% Coir Fibre Jute Fibre Glass Fibre (50mm x 20mm) reinforced with epoxy resin in a 4:1 ratio, composite placed behind a 5?mm mild steel plate. The Test was evaluated based on the depth of indentation on the material. Advantage: This alternative option has an incredible economic, environmental, social and defence advantage. Findings and Novelty: The materials obtained by our research work are light weighted material and has versatile applications and available at low cost in compare to the other materials made from natural fibres.
