Abstract

Section 3.1. This section describes how testing can be viewed from five different perspectives. Section 3.2. Dynamic test methods, testing for globalization and localization, and usability testing are discussed. Section 3.3. Static test methods, inspections, reviews, and static analysis design verification are discussed. Section 3.4 describes standard and innovative ways to test a software product in a complex environment. The discussion is focused on SOA testing in the real world. Section 3.5 presents the latest developments related to test technology in large projects: model-based testing, model-based integration and testing, and model checking. How to start and implement a test automation initiative is also discussed.
