The discovery of Extracellular vesicles in the past decades has been a boon to the medical industry. Extracellular vesicles are found in plants, animals, and humans having wide importance in disease exacerbation, prophylaxis, and treatment justifying it to be multifunctional. They cocoon a large number of informative proteins and genetic material which is a feasible pathway for cell-to-cell communication and visualize transformation in the recipient cells. The birth and secretion of these membranous vesicles are contrasting and intricate. The role of Extracellular vesicles in disease progression and recognition, long-term treatment, as biomarkers, and as potential drug carriers have upscaled its application in the development of new technologies and therapeutics. They serve as a bridge between chemotherapy and immunotherapy and also influence immunology and pregnancy. This article provides a brief insight into the community of extracellular vesicles along with its isolation and contribution to the healthcare industry.
