Abstract

In discussing the disaster in Japan, beginning with the earthquake and subsequent tsunami and nuclear plant threat, Akabayashi questions to what extent physicians are obliged to treat patients in the face of a potential nuclear plant meltdown. How far does the physician's duty to treat reach when the cost is personal danger?
