Abstract

Oxygen availability and its delivery are important for the human being and become more important in cancer patients, especially when they are critically ill. The oxygen should be considered as a drug and thus its appropriate administration in proper dosages, proper duration in the rightly selected patient using appropriate oxygen delivery device is paramount. Many oxygen delivery devices are available and these need to be chosen as per the patient’s need. The endpoint of the oxygen therapy should be made and oxygen administration titrated accordingly.
