Abstract

Intra-articular cartilage lesions of the hip are a prevalent occurrence associated with a number of hip pathologies including femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS), avascular necrosis, loose bodies, and trauma, as well as pediatric Stubbs hip conditions including hip dysplasia and slipped capital femoral epiphysis. Recently, microfracture adjuvants used in the knee were implemented to treat articular chondral damage in the hip. Although still in its infancy, shortterm studies have indicated promising results for establishing chondral healing and patient reported outcomes.
