The body structure of the schoolboy aged between seven and eight years is constantly growing and the physical education teacher can become a factor to enhance the development of his Motor Coordination (CM); through intervention programs he could help improve their physical, social and academic skills. The objective of this research work was to establish the influence of a childish games program on such coordination in a sample of 96 second-grade students from a Colombian school, with an average age of 7.56 0.5 years. The methodology included a quasi-experimental design. The data were collected with the Capon test on the schoolchildren who made up two groups: experimental and control. The information was processed with the Geogebra software. The results of the pre-Test showed low levels in the CM of the participants; while, the post-Test scores generated significant differences and reflected percentages of improvement close to 68% in said coordination for the experimentation group (p .05), as a product of having applied the childish games program. In conclusion, this program has a favorable influence, producing a notable increase in the CM of schoolchildren and generating additional information to formulate student intervention programs based on this type of games.
