This paper develops a historical and critical view to the relationship between disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge. From the historical perspective two moments that provide elements for the constitution of a historical knowledge on the teacher´s training in Colombia are described: the first one is related to the creation of Education Sciences Faculties (1933) and the second one with some of the curricular reforms to teacher training programs in the late Twentieth Century in the country. From the critical view, some reflections about the constitution of the disciplinary didactics as a specific field of knowledge and its effects on the relationship between teaching and disciplinary knowledge in the context of teacher training programs are presented.
