Abstract

The purpose of this book is to provide an introduction to stat istics with an emphasis on appropriate methods of computation with modern algorithms. We hope it will provide a useful introductory reference for p ersons with a need to analyze data using computers. Program listings are included in the appendices so that modi fications and corrections can be made as desired.
