Keywords: Internal And External; Quality Management Assessment in Islamic Education Institutions. Organizational environment can be distinguished into the internal environment (internal environment) which consists of three supporting elements, namely: first, the structure (structure), with regard to communication, authority and work flow. The structure is often also called the chain of command, and is depicted graphically using an organizational chart; second, culture (culture) is a pattern of beliefs, expectations, and values that apply among members of the organization; and third, resources which include a person's expertise, abilities, and managerial talents of each member of the organization. While the external scope is the conditions that are outside the organization, which also directly affect the continuity of the organization's wheels, such as the occurrence of protests or strikes, the emergence of changes to laws, environmental uncertainty and others. In assessing the two scopes, it can be done by using the ten characteristics contained in Quality Management, namely: 1) customer focus; 2) obsession with quality; 3) scientific approach; 4) long-term commitment; 5) teamwork (teamwork); 6) continuous system improvement; 7) education and training; 8) restrained freedom; 9) unity of purpose; and 10) the involvement and empowerment of employees. For organizations or educational institutions that want to continue to exist in this highly competitive modern era, a commitment to quality and providing satisfaction to customers is a non-negotiable fixed price.
