Abstract

It is virtually impossible to make reliable estimates of the sizes of shear-water colonies. This paper shows that an indication of the size of the Mediterranean population of Cory’ s Shearwater could best be obtained by counting migrants passing through the Straits of Gibraltar. © 1980 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
