Abstract

The research and development status and the facing problems for Powertrain ECU control software are analyzed in this chapter. By the study of the characteristics of today's mainstream software development process, a suitable software development process has been proposed which fits the specific characteristics of powertrain ECU control software. In this process, model-driven development method, off-line simulation, rapid control prototype and hardware in the loop simulation are integrated. The various stages in the process, the requirements of software documentation and related activities are described in details. And the chapter is also discussed the characteristics of this process from the point of view: to improve controllability, maintainability and quality of software products during the process of research and development. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
