Abstract

The National Penitentiary and Prison Institute is responsible for the execution of security measures and intramural penalties, and the resocialization of the convicted population. When taking a look at the psychosocial prison treatment programs in this Institute, it can be seen at a glance that all are designed for the intramural phase of people deprived of liberty. Consequently, this article aims to understand resilient educational programs, as psychosocial factors for the post-convicts of the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute. The established methodological route initially presents an epistemological paradigm, punctually applying instruments such as the semi-structured interview, focus groups and narrative techniques through their life stories, then the theoretical reference is built, giving way to hermeneutics as a tool. fundamental in the interpretation of texts, thus deriving, in the construction of a matrix of convergence and divergence trends, resulting in the insertion of a psychosocial program for treatment purposes, specifically for the post-convicted, based on the conclusions of the present study, in the patterns of family, survival and education as decisive factors of resilience in the post-distressed.
