La fotografía como clave de lectura de La nueva novela

Abstract

This article proposes the idea that photography, as a medium of representation, is the model used for the construction of La nueva novela (The new novel) by Juan Luis Martínez. Photography joins ambivalent features, such as its romantic-scientific origin, its documental character, as well as its capacity to distort what it represents, deceiving the observer. Given its intrinsic fea-tures, the photographic procedure allows the author to reflect on the representation, language, literature, identity and history.
