A 60-year-old female presented for assessment prior to elective spinal decompression and two-level fusion at L1-L2. She had a 2-year history of lower limb pain when walking, which was relieved by sitting/bending forward, and tingling/numbness of her buttocks and legs. The diagnosis of spinal stenosis was confirmed by MRI, which demonstrated severe canal narrowing with facet and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy.
