Abstract

An examination is made of the Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar ) catch records, considering in particular their reliability and applications of such information in the management of salmon stocks. Some examples are given of analyses of angling data obtained from the Quebec north shore of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
