This research discusses the influence of code colors and duration of display to the corrective rate of visual codes working memory and the Critical Fusion Frequency (CFF) value in different gender and two age groups (high school and university). The results showed that gender has a certain effect upon the corrective rate of the visual codes working memory and on the CFF ratios. Moreover, female fencers' CFF ratios were higher than the male fencers'. The high school participants' CFF ratios were obviously higher than the college participants'. The color of display has a significant effect on the corrective rate of visual codes working memory. Evidence showed that the duration time of display affected the corrective rate of the visual codes working memory. The code duration of display of 0.3 second had the highest corrective rate of visual codes working memory. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
